Band Camp Dates and Fee Information- Updated 7/29

Fall Marching Band Camp:

  • July 31 – August 4 from 9am-4:30pm
  • August 7-8 from 9am-4:30pm
  • August 9-10 from 6pm-8:30pm
  • August 14 from 6pm-8:30pm

Our next band camp begins on Monday, July 31! All marching band members are required to be in attendance each day of camp in order to participate this fall. Families are encouraged to avoid doctors appointments and other disruptions, when possible.

Parent Performance and Potluck – Thursday, August 10

On Thursday, August 10 from 6-8:30 we will have a potluck dinner and parent performance of what we have learned so far. This is a great time to meet other parents, arrange carpools for the school year, and find out how you can be a part of your student’s music experience in high school. We need lots of help! More details will be sent on the BAND app.

We will NOT rehearse on Friday, August 11. Enjoy that 3 day weekend before school starts!

What to Bring to Band Camp:

  • Lunch
  • Water
  • Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
  • Music (provided)
  • Instrument
    • If using a school instrument, please pay your $25 fee if you have not already. Check made payable to BSHS.
  • MARCHING BAND FEE – $100 – See note below.

Other FEES/Expenses

Marching Band Fees

We are proud to offer all that we do at BSHS with the lowest band fees in town. That said, please understand that there are costs to what we do. Please take note of the following payments and details:

  • MARCHING BAND FEE – $100 – This covers our marching band expenses for camp and meals throughout the fall. Please bring this in as soon as possible. Checks for this expense must be made payable to BSBA (Bryan Station Band Association) – DUE ASAP.
  • Band Shoes – $32 – Make check payable to “RRR Band Accessories” – Must bring this to school on Tuesday, August 8.

Class Fees:

In addition to class fees collected by BSHS at orientation, band families are also responsible for

  • Band Class Fee – $50. Only need to pay once. Make check payable to BSHS. Collected once school starts, pay when able.
  • Instrument Rental Fee – $25 – If you use a school instrument. You only need to pay it once. Make check payable to BSHS. Collected once school starts, pay when able.

If your family is not able to pay a fee – no problem. Just send in a note to Mr. Payne.

Fall Rehearsal Schedule:

The marching band will continue to practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:30. We will also practice on Fridays before home football games.
