On Monday, May 5, the BSHS Symphonic Band traveled to the University of Louisville’s Comstock Hall for the KMEA State Band Festival. For the second year in a row, the band received a distinguished rating in grade 5 classification. Impressively, the band also received a perfect score from the panel of adjudicators representing universities from Alabama, Ohio, and Tennessee.
The Bryan Station Symphonic Band is the premiere, varsity level music ensemble in the BSHS band program. Students must audition each year and are held to rigorous standards of musicianship.
