Who are we?

The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M is the only music honor society for junior/middle school and high school students in the country. Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically. Tri-M also provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects. There are more than 2,100 chapters across 50 states and 15 countries. Tri-M involves more than 84,000 students in grades 6-12. Each year, student members contribute more than 750,000 service hours to their school and local communities and raise nearly $1 million for causes they care about. – from

What do we do?

Here at Bryan Station High School, our Tri – M Chapter mission is to provide leadership opportunities to our members and service to our school. Specifically, we provide support to our school music ensembles and conductors by serving as production staff for school music concerts. Our duties can include

  • Event promotion
  • Designing and distributing programs (print and digital)
  • Lighting and sound technicians
  • Stage Crew/House Management
  • Concession/Reception services
  • Clean Up

This is a fantastic way to serve our school and learn more about individual roles and responsibilities in theatre management, music business, and arts administration.

What happens at a Tri – M Meeting?

When in-person, meetings consist of a listening party, performance by a Tri M Member, overview of upcoming activities, and of course, the eating of snacks. Because high school.

When and Where do we meet?

We will meet the FIRST Wednesday of the Month, beginning in September, in the band hall at 3:30.
